Despite the grey weather, Hermès’ colourful silk scarves have captured my attention this weekend.  Toronto’s Design Exchange hosted Hermès’ Festival Des Métiers where visitors saw a glimpse of the workmanship that goes into crafting many of the Maison’s luxury goods.  The most captivating part of the exhibit for me was watching the craftsmen from the Hermès atelier in France, demonstrating the silk screening process used to colour the luxurious silk scarves.  The close up look at the making of these iconic objects was fascinating and presented a true art form.
