It is always an exciting time of the year when Pantone announces its pick for Colour of the Year.  Not only is a trend born, we get a viewpoint of what the future holds.  I quite fancy all the descriptions of Radiant Orchid mentioned in the Pantone Colour Institute’s press release.  Using selected vocabulary, I have visualized the Radiant Orchid sentiment, to help share these notions about the colour at the top of the list.

Forecasting trends, leads me to thinking about all the possibilities that lie ahead.  It also happens to be the perfect time of year to reflect on the past year and start my dreams, schemes and plans for the upcoming one.  I like how 2014 is projected in the Radiant Orchid glow.

It is no coincidence that Radiant Orchid happens to be a colour I have been working with a lot lately!  Just take a look at two of my recent posts about Creating Wedding Flower Arrangements With Fall Blooms and Fall Blooms Wedding on the Thames.  This just goes to show the versatility of Radiant Orchid, as it was the perfect colour scheme for fall entertaining and it will be lovely in the springtime too.  I have shared some of my floral photographs taken in the past summer while visiting Casa Florida which capture this multifaceted hue.
