The beautiful art of modern calligraphy continues to catch my eye.  A Sunday in September was the perfect day to take pen to paper and practice some of this pretty script for the first time.  I attended a lovely workshop in Toronto by Laura Hooper Calligraphy to learn more about this art.  Getting set up with the right tools and learning the alphabet from a calligraphy guru was so helpful and a lot of fun.  Additionally, these workshops are known for their unique settings with beautiful décor, sweet treats, and creative and stylish guests, so it was such a pleasure to attend.  The attention to the event details was noteworthy.  Snapping photos, sipping on mimosas, and scripting letters in ink is my kind of afternoon… perfect practice makes perfect!
