Happy February!  With Valentine’s Day on the way, spreading and sharing love is on our minds.  ANNE in FASHION is on a quest to share feelings of love this month!  As Elizabeth Barrett Browning wrote “How do I love thee? Let me count the ways…”

The first display of ‘sharing love’ was about surrounding oneself with little joys such as sentimental postcards and hints of pink in Romance of a Daydream.  This lead to thoughts about how a handwritten note that travels through the post feels so special to receive.  Centuries ago, Valentine’s Day evolved into an occasion where lovers expressed their love through gifts of sweets and flowers and sending sentimental cards.  Following this tradition, I’ve created postcards to mail to my Valentines this year.  Designed with the message XO ~ Love, Kisses & Valentine’s Wishes, these postcards will hopefully be a little reminder of love, delivered in the mailbox.

It just so happens that today’s snow day in the area translates into the perfect day for a Valentine’s Day card writing date!
