At this time of year it is easy to become seduced by the local fresh produce available at the farmers’ markets and roadside stands.  The seasonal fruits and vegetables are so tasty when freshly picked from a nearby farm.  Plus, these local offerings are absolutely gorgeous and full of colour with sensational texture – they are a treat for multiple senses!  It is so tempting to bring home one of everything, especially when you shop hungry.

When scrolling through my camera roll on my phone there are many scattered shots of seasonal fruits and veggies.  I have snapped pictures each time I visit aisles filled with these fresh offerings.  The allure and beauty of the farmers’ market has motivated me to capture some highlights of a recent visit.  The variety of colour and texture is beautiful and fun to photograph.   The cooler weather we are having is reminding me that autumn is around the corner and I want to savour these summer gems long past the season.
